As the SMAR3TS journey gathers momentum, we are delighted to launch the official SMAR3TS Blog: a space dedicated to sharing the people, projects, ideas and innovations driving our mission forward.

SMAR3TS brings together an international and intersectoral network of universities, research organisations, industry partners and innovation leaders committed to advancing Resilience, Restoration and Regeneration (R3) across the systems that underpin human wellbeing: Nutrition, Mobility, Energy and Housing.

Our collective challenge is significant. Climate change, biodiversity loss, resource constraints and social inequalities require new ways of thinking, collaborating and innovating. Through SMAR3TS, we are working together to develop the knowledge, capabilities and solutions needed to support more sustainable and regenerative futures.

Projects are often described through reports, milestones, work packages, and final outcomes. Those things are critical - they help track progress and give structure to complex work.

Yet they do not always show the full story.

They might not show the first time a secondee applies a new method with confidence. They might not capture the problem-solving that happens between partners. They might miss the moment when a shared challenge becomes a shared solution.

The SMAR3TS Blog will help fill that gap.

This will be a place to record the human side of the work, alongside the technical and practical progress. It will highlight what is being learned, where connections are growing, and how the activity is making a difference across the network.

This blog has been created as a dynamic platform where the SMAR3TS community can:
